Pay to Ride is currently open for 2018-2019 incoming Kindergarten Students
Dear Prospective Pay to Ride Kindergarten Family:

All students in Grades K -12 who live less than 1.5 miles from their respective school are determined to be “not eligible” for free bus transportation. You are receiving this correspondence because you have been determined under the current county maps to live less than 1.5 miles from the school your child will attend in September 2018. Therefore, if you wish to have your child ride the school bus to and from school for the 2018-2019 school year, please register your child by completing the Registration for Regular Education Student Transportation form. Please click on the link at the bottom of this page to be directed to the form. Completed registration forms must be submitted via the online registration form by 4 PM on June 20, 2018.

Please note that beginning in the 2019-2020 school year, the district will no longer offer the “Pay to Ride” option for families living under the 1.5 from their school. Please plan accordingly.

The transportation fee is $300.00 per student with a family cap of $600. Payments may be made online. Please click on the link at the bottom of this page to be directed the online school store. Payment may also be made by bank check or money order made payable to BRRSD and delivered to the Transportation office located at 166 Mount Prospect Street, Bridgewater, MA 02324. Please note, no personal checks will be accepted. The payment deadline is July 13, 2018.

Group bus stops will be assigned based on proximity to student residences. However, you may need to request a bus stop other than the one assigned to you in order to coordinate with day care arrangements. If so, please complete the Alternate Transportation for Day Care Form located on the right side of this page.  If space is available, your child will be assigned to a bus and stop closest to the address you have indicated on the form.

Your response during the registration period is greatly appreciated and will help to ensure a smooth opening of school in the fall. In June, we will provide your child with a pay to ride bus pass and a letter that will indicate the bus stop time and location. Should you have any questions at that time, please feel free to contact the Transportation Office at 508-279-2140 ext 140.
