Bus assignments have been sent out via the parent portal. We ask that you review your child(ren)'s assignment immediately. Under Massachusetts General Law all children residing in a regional school district in grades kindergarten through twelve who reside more than two miles from the school they are entitled to attend are eligible for free bus transportation. The Bridgewater-Raynham Regional School District Transportation policy determines transportation eligibility as all students who live 1.5 miles or more from their school.

All students in Grades K -12 who live less than 1.5 miles from their respective school are determined to be not eligible for free bus transportation and payment is required to ride the bus based on availability. Due to the District's budgetary constraints bus routes must be established in early spring to consolidate the number of buses needed for the following year. The period to register for "Pay to Ride" is currently closed. The option may reopen sometime in September once the bus routes have been run and ridership is fully determined. At that time families wishing to utilize the 'Pay to Ride" service may apply based on seat space availability.

The transportation fee is $300.00 per student with a family cap of $600. Payments must be made online at the website indicated on the form or by bank cashier's check or money order and must be accompanied by a completed "Pay to Ride" registration form. Please note, no personal checks will be accepted.

Group bus stops have been assigned based on proximity to student residences. Please note that the bus routes have been reviewed by the BRRSD Administrative Team, driven and observed by the bus drivers, and were further reviewed by safety officials. However, if you feel an appeal must be made due to a safety concern, Appeal Forms are located on the District's website. All appeals must be made in writing via the online Appeal Form and must be received before 4:00 p.m. on the second Friday of July (July 14, 2017). Parents will be assigned an individual hearing date to present their appeal to the Appeal Board. Appeal Hearings will be scheduled and conducted through the month of July and conclude no later than the second Friday in August. Again, bus stop appeals will be heard based on safety only and not convenience or preference. No Transportation requests and/or changes will be heard or accepted via phone. Your consideration of the time that has been taken to ensure safe, effective transportation is greatly appreciated. Taking the time to review your child(ren)'s bus stop will help to ensure a smooth opening of school in the fall as many issues may be resolved over the summer months.
